We had a wonderful time at Roll n’ Bowl for our 2024 school tour. We spent the morning in the soft play area, where we climbed and went down the slides and played in the huge ball pits! It was a brilliant day!
We celebrated one of our lovely classmates today in a special Blessing Ceremony as it is his First Holy Communion year! We hope C.J. and his family had a special day. Well done C.J.! We are so proud of you!
Mr Murrell brought the school hamster Snuggles over for a visit today! We each took a turn petting him. He was very gentle and soft to rub. We hope he comes back soon! ????
Ms Wiseley, Ms Bryan and the boys threw a surprise baby shower for Ms Bennett! What a lucky duck she is!
Cooking some delicious pancakes using Ms Bryan's Mickey Mouse Pancake Press! It was so much fun and the pancakes with delicious!
Ms Brophy organised a Jumble Sale Fundraiser with the Student's Council this year! It was so much fun going over to the Halla to have a browse and shop for some cool toys and yummy treats!
We love sensory play in our class - especially water, sand, shaving foam and bubbles! Here we are having some impromptu bubble play before we go out to yard!
This year we dressed up as a bunch of very cute snowmen and sang two lovely festive songs for the whole school and all the parents. We got a big round of applause and everyone was so proud of us!
We had a lovely trip to Mountmellick Library where we played with the interactive table, read a story in the beautiful sensory room and explored all the wonderful books! We were so good, we even got a pop for the walk back!
We had some wonderful Patrick's Day celebrations! We went to the halla and performed our song 'The Happy Little Leprechaun' for the whole school! We got a great big round of applause!
We love to bake and decorate delicious treats in our class!

C.J.'s daddy built us some beautiful planters for outside our prefab. We went to the local flower shop 'Dad's Shed' and the owner was so kind to give us all some flowers to plant. We also planted some sunflower seeds and dahlia bulbs. Our garden is looking really beautiful now and it brings lots of colour to our prefab. A big thank you to CJ's dad for helping to make this happen!
We had a great sports day this year! We joined in on lots of races but our favourite part was the bouncy castle
We went to Roll N’ Bowl this year and had so much fun in the soft play area. We did lots of climbing, jumping, sliding and laughing! We were so good on our trip that our teachers decided to let us pop into Ken Blacks for a surprise! We were very lucky ducks!
We went on a big walk to the library today. It was a lovely trip. We played games, played with the interactive table, visited their amazing sensory room, read a story and played with bubbles outside. On our way back to school we got ice creams in the shop for being such good boys!
The weather was so nice we decided to go for a walk down to the park. We had a great time on the swings, slides, zip line and in the sandpit. We really didn’t want to leave!☀️
We went to our local shop to practice speaking to the shopkeeper and buying something small! It was great fun and the shopkeeper was lovely and kind.
We had great fun in the snow building our little snowman and having a snowball fight! ⛄️
Our boys performed a song called ‘Everyone Should Walk to School’ to the tune of ‘Here we go round the Mulberry Bush’. It was our first performance in front of the whole school and we were brilliant! Everyone gave us a big cheer and then we listened to the other classes perform. Our teachers were so proud of us
We really out did ourselves for this performance! We sang ‘The Happiest Christmas Tree’ dressed as very cute Christmas trees! We got a great big cheer from all the mammies and daddies. Our teachers were so proud of us again!
For the month of April, our whole school spent some time learning about autism and on the last Friday we all came together to celebrate our autism awareness and acceptance month. It was a beautiful gathering and it meant a lot to us. We sang a song and listened to all the classes perform. We finished up with a bit of a boogie and it was so much fun!
The boys in Ms Bennett’s Class had a brilliant time at Portarlington Swimming Pool. We went once a week for seven weeks and we can’t wait to go back next year!
